My Approach to Therapy
I am an adult trauma therapist providing trauma-informed psychotherapy through talk therapy, art therapy, and evidence-based somatic intervention, EMDR for adults over 30 who seek depth, clarity, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in psychodynamic, developmental, and attachment-based frameworks, integrating evidence-based practice with creative and relational depth.
I am naturally warm and curious. I enjoy getting to know people deeply to posess comprehensive understanding of their background, and connecting their stories to who they are today. I work best with those who are seeking deep psychotherapy-- adult professionals and creatives who want to understand how early attachment experiences, intergenerational trauma, cultural identity, and ambition intersect with present-day stress, anxiety, and relational patterns.
I enjoy working with complex clients whose therapy requires the application of multiple systems of thought. I bring a multigenerational, intersectionality-informed lens to treatment, exploring how family history, migration, race, gender, class, wealth or poverty, and systemic pressures shape both vulnerability and resilience. Therapy becomes a space for sustained reflection, psychological integration, and long-term healing from trauma and stress.
I identify as an Asian-American, Taiwanese, Person of Color Therapist. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, including but not limited to clients with immigration backgrounds.
Trauma-Focused Therapy for Adults & Professionals
I provide trauma-focused therapy for adults and professionals navigating high-pressure careers, leadership roles, creative industries, and entrepreneurial demands. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals living with unresolved attachment trauma, complex PTSD, grief, performance anxiety, or chronic stress.
This work includes:
-
EMDR trauma therapy
-
Attachment-based trauma treatment
-
Nervous system stabilization
-
Processing intergenerational trauma
-
Burnout and ambition-related stress
Professionals and creatives often carry invisible burdens. Trauma therapy for professionals requires nuance — honoring competence while addressing vulnerability. Through telehealth therapy for trauma, we work consistently and methodically to reduce reactivity, increase emotional regulation, and support sustainable performance without sacrificing psychological integrity.
Creative & Expressive & Evidence-Based Modalities
As a licensed clinician trained in art therapy and expressive therapy, I integrate creative modalities for clients who think visually, symbolically, or intuitively.
Creative exploration therapy can support:
-
Processing trauma beyond verbal narrative
-
Unlocking creative blocks
-
Reconnecting with embodied experience
-
Clarifying identity and values
-
Exploring complex internal conflicts
Expressive methods are grounded in the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) and used strategically — not as decoration, but as clinically informed interventions that deepen insight.
For clients who prefer structured approaches, I also integrate EMDR trauma therapy within a trauma-informed psychotherapy framework.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Support & Integration Services
I provide ketamine assisted therapy support for established psychotherapy clients who want to work with licensed medical providers to receive ketamine-infusion within a clinical environment under medical supervision.
Ketamine-assisted treatment may be considered for individuals experiencing treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or persistent anxiety symptoms. Treatment-resistant depression is generally defined as depressive symptoms that have not responded adequately to multiple evidence-based interventions, which may include trials of psychotherapy and at least two appropriate antidepressant medications.
In such cases, ketamine intervention—when administered by a licensed medical provider—may offer an additional therapeutic avenue and symptom relief. Within a structured and trauma-informed psychotherapy framework, ketamine-assisted work can support emotional processing, cognitive flexibility, and engagement in ongoing treatment.
I do not prescribe or administer ketamine. My role is to support those interested in integrating this cutting-edge therapy by offering trauma-informed preparation, talk therapy, psychological education, and structured integration within an ongoing therapeutic relationship.
Preparation before Ketamine Sessions
Preparation is a structured and clinically grounded process. As part of ongoing ketamine-assisted therapy support, we review the logistics of the medical administration process, including preparation practices in the weeks and days leading up to your ketamine sessions, and your communication with your licensed prescriber.
Preparation sessions may include:
-
Reviewing the steps involved in ketamine administration
-
Discussing safety protocols
-
Clarifying therapeutic intentions
-
Identifying and exploring concerns
-
Stabilizing nervous system regulation before dosing
-
Establishing psychological anchors and containment strategies
Because this work occurs within trauma-informed psychotherapy, preparation emphasizes emotional safety, relational stability, and alignment with your broader treatment goals. The aim is not simply to “have an experience,” but to enter the process with clarity and psychological grounding.
Ketamine Adjunctive Supportive Processing
During active ketamine treatment periods, we may increase session frequency as needed. This adjunctive supportive processing allows space to discuss each ketamine session while the material is still emotionally accessible.
These sessions may include:
-
Processing emerging memories, images, or emotions
-
Tracking shifts in mood, perception, or relational patterns
-
Addressing vulnerability that may surface between doses
-
Supporting regulation if trauma material intensifies
-
Providing a stable environment where your experience is primarily held, witnessed, and metabolized
Integration Sessions after Ketamine
Integration occurs within your regular weekly psychotherapy appointments. These sessions “zoom out” and examine the broader impact of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy within your overall treatment journey.
Integration may include:
-
Identifying sensory, cognitive, or emotional shifts
-
Connecting insights to attachment patterns or trauma history
-
Clarifying changes in identity, ambition, or creative direction
-
Evaluating progress in healing from trauma and stress
-
Reassessing long-term psychotherapy goals
Ketamine integration is not separate from your therapy — it is contextualized within ongoing trauma-focused therapy for adults and professionals. We continue working toward your broader treatment goals while thoughtfully incorporating the effects of KAP into your sustained recovery process.

Clients are encouraged to arrange a private environment that allows for sustained focus and psychological safety. Creating this protected space supports the depth, continuity, and integrity of our work together.
